Result Reports

Each year, we invite you to provide feedback on the Foundation Practice Rating.

This survey is for any person from a charitable, philanthropic or social purpose organisation based in the UK. It is to help inform the Foundation Practice Rating, which assesses UK grant-making foundations on their practices on diversity, accountability and transparency.

We have listened carefully and the research team has provided a detailed report on the results.

New criteria: Living Wage Funder status – we will monitor this in Year Four.

Beyond this, we will not be significantly changing the criteria this year because:

  • There are no established standards set or benchmarks for some factors suggested that foundations can follow
  • We want to have consistency with previous years – not try to “catch trusts out”
  • We already monitor some factors identified.

Each year, we invite you to provide feedback on the Foundation Practice Rating.

As the FPR utilises standards established by a broad spectrum of stakeholders, it uncovers the elements of diversity, accountability, and transparency considered most crucial by others. This, in turn, enables foundations to channel their endeavours towards enhancing these aspects of their operations. Moreover, the FPR draws on exemplary approaches from diverse domains, including the public and business realms.
